Spent a few hours this past Sunday looking for snowy owls to photograph.

They are difficult to spot, but here's a photo of my first snowy owl at sunrise in the middle of a farmer's field.

Tomorrow, we'll get a lot closer!




A Snowy Owl perched on top of a telephone pole this past Sunday in Dakota County, MN.

Here's a short video of the audience this snowy owl drew.

The video is a little shaky and you can hear the cold wind blowing about - something the owl didn't mind much, but made for difficult taping and photographing.
